Elegant & intimate wedding, Masia Casa del Mar Barcelona

This destination wedding in Barcelona is all you could have dreamed of. Alina & Carlo had no doubt where to celebrate their love with their closest family and friends, in the city the love the most, Barcelona. The bride is originally from Cuba but lives in Milan, where she met Carlo. With their families being on either side of the Atlantic, they had rarely had a chance to bring everyone together, which is why they decided on a truly intimate wedding, with just 24 of their nearest and dearest in attendance.

This beautiful and intimate destination wedding was planned by Lidia Ruiz (Lidia Ruiz Wedding Planner) who brought the couple’s dream to reality. For the celebration, the couple chose Masia Casa del Mar, a luxury country house in the Garraf natural park located just 30 minutes outside Barcelona.

Their Orthodox ceremony site was located down the stairs with views to the Mediterranean Sea as backdrop. The white florals with lush greenery were designed by Molist Floristes. The bride wanted an all-white bouquet to subtly compliment the jewel and color palette she chose. Other special element of the wedding is the wedding invitation designed by the bride herself. She wanted to create something that presents both of their origins and where the fall in love with each other.

Alina wanted to feel the Cuban bit during her wedding so the couple hired the Emi Bueno Quintet, a Latin jazz band who put the color note to this special day. The band played songs, from Bésame mucho to O sole mio, a perfect mix of Cuban and Italian music which made this celebration even more special.

The golds and greens on the table design worked great with the venue’s natural surroundings and architecture. AH Rentals provided the rentals for the ceremony and reception. The dinner took place outdoors by the pool where the team created the most beautiful dinner table I’ve seen. A structure covered with greenery from where chandeliers of different shapes and sizes were hung. The cocktail was served to guests by the infinity pool where they enjoyed Mediterranean hors dóeuvres, drinks and some Iberic ham cut live. The high end and incredible catering service with delicious food was made by Angels Catering. Guests were treated to an eight course Mediterranean menu in the most intimate setting. Dinner included a menu of Mediterranean delicacies, from Lebanese hummus with tuna tataki to sea bass with sobrasada, pine nuts, honey and caramelized onions.

It was a pleasure to be a part of Alina and Carlos’s special day.  A Casa del Mar wedding is a fantastic idea for couples who are looking for a stylish and intimate celebration with perfect sea views.
